Notes from the Maker:
Elegant but full bodied this whisky has spent ten years maturing in American white oak ex-bourbon casks before being extra-matured for a further five years in Oloroso and PX Sherry casks from Jerez in Spain.

Lasanta is Gaelic for warmth and passion, a reminder not just of the Spanish provenance of these Oloroso sherry butts, but also a reflection of this expression's lusciously soft texture and deep, enticingly sweet aroma. Non chill-filtered for additional aroma and mouthfeel.

Tasting Notes:
Aroma: Warm spices mix with smooth chocolate covered raisins, honeycomb and caramel toffee.

Taste: Deliciously sweet sherry flavored sultanas, orange segments, walnuts and butterscotch combine to create complex warm spices.

Finish: Long and satisfying finish with spiced orange and chocolate covered hazelnuts.

"Replacing the 12 year old, the extra time in bourbon and sherry casks results in an elegant whisky with complex aromas of toffee, plum, ripe cherry, and plump raisins on the nose, plus leather, walnut, cinder toffee, and chocolate-covered cranberries. Spicy and juicy in the mouth, with plum, black cherry, marma- lade, and baking spices, it yields to cherry-studded toffee and vanilla, with hints of dark chocolate."
