Notes from the winemaker:

Geoffroy is one of the few Houses that still makes its Champagne Rosé by the saignée method during the maceration of the Pinot Noir grapes. tasting notes. Ruby red tints to please the eye. The nose provides a whole bouquet of aromas. Roses, wild strawberries and raspberries combine in perfect harmony. The mouth, utterly charming, confirms the promise of the nose. The finale has sumptuous vinosity. accompaniment.

This Champagne Rosé is wonderful with seafood dishes like fried scallops or a lobster fricassee. For the dessert, a peach soup accompanied by a few strawberries and a glass of this Champagne Rosé de Saignée will leave you with an unforgettable experience.

Ratings & Reviews

94 Points - Vinous:

"The NV Brut Rose de Saignée (100% Premier Cru Pinot Noir from the 2018 vintage) is fabulous and a great example of this style. A burst of dark red cherry, lavender, spice, blood orange and pomegranate races across the palate. This release screams with Pinot character, marrying depth with notable finesse along the way. I loved it. Dosage is 4 grams per liter. Disgorged: June, 2023." - Antonio Galloni (November 2023)

93 Points - Decanter:

"Jean-Baptiste Geoffroy wanted the 'explosion' of the 2018 vintage (on which this wine is based) in this deep, vivacious rosé from sunny Cumières in the Grande Vallée, and he definitely found it. There's nothing shy here, with tropical fruit, poached strawberry, cranberry and orange leaping above a texture that, whilst certainly intense and grippy, retains an unlikely-seeming level of refreshment and drive, just touching on bay leaf spice and delicious bitterness without the toughness that darker Champagne rosés can sometimes suffer from. Joyous." - Tom Hewson (March 2024)

92 Points - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate:
"Based on the 2018 vintage and disgorged in January 2023, the latest release of Geoffroy's emblematic NV Brut Premier Cru Rosé de Saignée bursts with notes of sweet red berries, petals and blood orange. Medium-bodied, rich and fleshy, with powdery structuring phenolics, it sees a comparatively long, destemmed maceration that is kept cool with dry ice." - William Kelley (December 2023)

91 Points - Wine Spectator Magazine:
"Firm and tightly meshed, with hints of grilled herbs and graphite lacing flavors of blackberry clafoutis, wild cherry, smoke and red licorice as they ride the creamy mousse. Mouthwatering, minerally finish. Disgorged January 2023. Drink now through 2026. 200 cases imported." - Alison Napjus (December, 2023)
