Distillery Notes:

Fukano Distillery has been making spirits in Japan since 1823. Shigeruriku Fukano is the fifth generation of his family to run the distillery, located in Hitoyoshi City, Kumamoto Prefecture of Japan, a few towns away from Ohishi Distillery. Kuma River is the water supply for both distilleries, and both have the minerality and texture we have come to know and love.

Tasting Note: Powdered Sugar, White Tea, Honey, Rose Petals and Toasted Almonds.

"Toffee, caramelized apple, plum, black currant, baking spice, peppercorn, and ginger on the nose. The manzanilla and red wine casks result in a delicious whisky, overflowing with black currant, bramble, and black cherry flavors, plus clove and pepper spices that settle quickly, then raisin, mixed peel, and fruit tea flavors emerge. The spices flare up after swallowing, joining umami notes, licorice, and black fruits on the lengthy finish. Fukano fans will love it!"
