About the Rum
Exceptional Cask Selections represent the unique, and rare offerings of Foursquare Rum Distillery that Richard has hand selected, his personal aging experiments only released when he feels they are of exceptional quality. These are one of a kind expressions, available for a limited time, and showcasing truly unique approaches to both Rum blending and maturation.
All of the Exceptional Cask Selections have been matured in Barbados in a tropical climate - accelerating multiple aspects of the maturation process, in many cases aging 2-3x faster than if in Europe or a more temperate climate.
Mark XXIV is a single blended rum aged for 12 years in a combination of first, second and third fill Ex-Bourbon barrels.
No Color. No Sugar. No Additives. No Filtration. Distilled, Matured, Blended & Bottled entirely on island in Barbados.
Bottled at 60% ABV - 120 Proof.

"On the nose, discover a beautiful blend of apricots, toffee, and coconut, introducing a bold palate with a delicious tropical fruit core. Flavours of dark chocolate, rich prune and vanilla ice cream intermingle with crunchy red berries and layers of furniture polish, leather, and walnut wood. This wonderful complexity culminates in a generous, Oloroso-like finish, dancing with tones of treacle, tobacco, and mahogany."
9/10 - RumRatings.com
"On the nose it feels aromatic and spicy. Creole spices, candied ginger, dried hibiscus and pink pepper. Walnuts, raisins and raw cacao nibs. It smells woody and chewy. Strawberry jam, cloves, marmalade and dried plums. Nail varnish, red apples and blackcurrants. On the palate it’s also quite chewy. Sour cherries, dried fruits, creole spices and wood staves covered in molasses. Strawberry jam, blood orange and some warm spices. The oak and the distillate really compliment each other here. Blackberries, ginger, walnuts and caramel. Ripe bananas, cooked apples and maple syrup. The finish is long with spice galore and rich oaky notes. The wood integration in this is beautiful making the rum full of various spices and aromatics." - The Rum Barrel Blog
