Blend:  50% Grenache, 50% Syrah. 

Only a few communities within the Cotes du Rhone Villages appellation are allowed to put their name on the label. Plan de Dieu is one of them. And the wines are delightfully typical of the southern Rhone: concentrated, dense, flavorful and full of aromas reminiscent of dark fruits and the surrounding scrubland of Mediterranean garrigue herbs. Ferraton Pere & Fils also own vineyards here and their Plan de Dieu pays homage to the southern French region.

"The 2019 Cotes du Rhone Villages Plan de Dieu is everything a good example from the region should be. It's fruity and direct without being simple, showing notes of red raspberries, sun-warmed stones and just hints of garrigue and dark chocolate. It's full-bodied and rich without being jammy. It even shows decent length and silky tannins on the finish. Nicely done!"
