The 2022 Evening Land Seven Springs Pinot Noir is largely of Seven Springs' original, own-rooted vines planted in 1982. Raised for 16 months in neutral French oak and finished in concrete, the wine shows off a lush texture and high toned aromatic intensity. This is yet another impressive effort from this benchmark producer.
Sashi and Raj, by ushering in Seven Springs Vineyard’s fourth decade, remain at the forefront of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay production in the New World. Everything for them has always started in the vineyard and when they had the chance to become stewards of this historic site, they couldn’t help but jump at the opportunity. The estate is as critically acclaimed as their California projects (Piedrasassi, Sandhi, and Domaine de la Cote) but with a soul all to its own, owed to the unique geology and natural splendor of the Willamette Valley.

Ratings & Reviews
94 Points International Wine Review:
"Sporting a bright neon ruby core with a light pink rim, the 2022 Seven Springs from Evening Land is another scrumptious wine from one of my favorite vineyards. Red cherries, crushed raspberries, pomegranate seeds, dusty earth, graphite, and black tea tones are all wonderfully combined on the nose and on the palate. Rounded and silky tannins and lemony acidity bring wonderful structure to the wine." - JY (Jan 2024)
93+ Points - Robert Parker's WA:
"The 2022 Pinot Noir Seven Springs Vineyard has alluring aromas of pomegranate, blueberry, forest floor and bitters. The medium-bodied palate pairs concentrated, spicy flavors with silky tannins and vibrant acidity, and it has a long, citrusy finish. It opens dramatically with air and will benefit from a few years in the cellar. 2025-2040."
93 Points - James Suckling:
"A charming, elegant and velvety wine that emphasizes wild berries and woodsy, savory accents on a medium frame of snappy tannins and nervy acidity. Lots of tangy red fruit, from cranberries to sour cherries, and accents of bay leaves and pine." (Apr 2024)
93 Points - Vinous Media:
"The 2022 Pinot Noir Seven Springs blossoms in the glass as depths of wild strawberry, raspberry, lavender and rose petals form a beautifully perfumed bouquet. It's seductively soft and supple with vividly ripe red fruits and juicy acidity, underscored by a tactile mineral tinge. The 2022 finishes remarkably fresh and lifted with a gentle tug of fine tannin, leaving the palate completely refreshed. Spellbinding. - Eric Guido (Jan 2024)
93 Points - Wine Enthusiast:
"This balanced beauty was fermented and aged in a combination of concrete and neutral oak barriques. The wine's aromas run the range from boysenberry soda and violets to a meaty note similar to bone broth. A light and nimble texture is a perfect fit with flavors like cranberry and lime zest, with a mild chalky note." - Michael Alberty (May 2024)
93 Points - Wine Spectator:
"Steely and precise, with vibrant raspberry and pomegranate flavors that reveal accents of stony mineral, dusky spices and black tea as this gathers verve and tension toward refined tannins. Drink now through 2032." - Tim Fish (June 2024)
93 Points - Decanter Magazine:
"The Seven Springs Pinot Noir offers a look at the Evening Land program at an approachable price point. Redolent red berry fruits, fresh wintergreen and smoky floral aromas make for a pleasing aromatic profile. The palate is fresh and elegant with elements of black bramble berries, chicory root spice and delicious tart blood orange with a smoky undertone. There is an elegance in this bottling, Evening Land's entry Pinot Noir punches well above its price point." - Clive Pursehouse (Jul 2024)
