About the Producer:
Produced by Joe Wagner, youngest son of Chuck Wagner of Caymus fame, and himself the creator of Quilt, Carne Humana, Belle Glos and Meiomi, Elouan is the result of California winemakers venturing up to Oregon, one of the world's renowned grape-growing regions. The goal: to produce Pinot Noir and Chardonnay with depth of flavor, vibrancy and suppleness. For this wine we brought together fruit from three distinct terrains along Oregons premiere Western vineyards which harmonize beautifully when blended as one. The diversity of these districts along with a lengthy growing season create wines with intense structure, while maintaining a vibrant acidity that sets them apart from other wines.

Elouan means 'good light,' reflecting the cool yet abundant sunshine found in this winegrowing region. The unique climate and diversity of soil types influence both canopy and fruit, forming the foundation of this wine's northern character.

About the Wine:
For our Elouan Rosé, we bring together fruit from three distinct terrains along Oregon’s premiere Western vineyards. The diversity of these cool climate areas combined with an elongated growing season creates wine with intensity of fruit flavor, structure, and a fresh vibrant acidity. This is a bespoke rosé where grapes were grown and harvested with the specific intention of making rosé; and not a saignée rosé, which can be a by-product of making red wine.  This wine should be enjoyed very well chilled.  It is finished with a screwcap to preserve the crisp, clean aromas and tastes, and is a great choice for outdoor occasions: picnics, lunch on the patio, or enjoyed on its own as an aperitif.
Tasting Notes:
Blush pink with hues of copper tones. This beautiful wine offers aromas of luscious strawberry, white plum, cherry blossom and honeysuckle. The palate follows through with vibrant flavors of fresh strawberry, raspberry and stone fruit with subtle notes of citrus. This wine has a bright acidity that carries through to a lingering smooth finish.

"This salmon-hued sipper seduces with aromas of tangerine blossom, while salted melon and jasmine are perked up by candied ginger on the palate. A starburst of saffron and tangerine peel adds uniqueness."
