About the Producer:
Produced by Joe Wagner, youngest son of Chuck Wagner of Caymus fame, and himself the creator of Quilt, Carne Humana, Belle Glos and Meiomi, Elouan is the result of California winemakers venturing up to Oregon, one of the world's renowned grape-growing regions. The goal: to produce Pinot Noir and Chardonnay with depth of flavor, vibrancy and suppleness. For this wine we brought together fruit from three distinct terrains along Oregons premiere Western vineyards which harmonize beautifully when blended as one. The diversity of these districts along with a lengthy growing season create wines with intense structure, while maintaining a vibrant acidity that sets them apart from other wines.
Elouan means 'good light,' reflecting the cool yet abundant sunshine found in this winegrowing region. The unique climate and diversity of soil types influence both canopy and fruit, forming the foundation of this wine's northern character.

Tasting Notes:
The 2021 Elouan Chardonnay boasts an abundant floral aroma, light oak, and a medley of citrus, white pear, tropical fruit and a touch of nectarine. With bright acidity and a smooth mouthfeel, it culminates in a lingering, bright finish. Pale straw yellow in color, this is a beautiful wine from sight to sip. Pairs wells with pan seared scallops with linguine, garlic scampi or chicken piccata.
