About the Tequila:
The Mundial Yamazaki Edition is the result of a partnership between two famed distillers: Carlos Camarena (former Master Distiller for El Tesoro) and Shinji Fukuyo (Suntory’s 5ᵗʰ generation Chief Blender). This edition is a special expression of our El Tesoro Añejo, aged for 12 months in genuine Yamazaki 12-Year-Old Japanese sherry and wine casks, adding notes of red berries and warm spices for a truly distinctive tequila, perfect for sipping and savoring. As a special one-time release, this is the first and only time El Tesoro has been rested in Yamazaki casks.
Nose: Aromatic agave, minerals, oak, dry fruits, nuts, honey, delicate florals, fresh tobacco
Palate: Mineral, toasted almonds, pecans, raw honey, balanced bitterness, warm spices, sherry notes, toasted coffee beans, dark chocolate
Finish: Long and lingering with sherry notes, fruits, seasoned oak, red berries, warm spices, clove, pepper

"The aromatic profile is big with black pepper and heavy with Asian spices and flowers, evoking amazingly perfumed notes of plum blossoms and cinnamon, then biting menthol and fresh tobacco notes. The palate is more traditional with some caramel and vanilla in the picture. The heavy spice notes visible on the nose come back into focus infusing notes of toasted coconut, bittersweet chocolate, and milky coffee with an exotic, quite floral quality. Lightly minty but quite perfumed on the finish, the pepper clings to the back of the palate but remains short of dominance. A potpourri note reprises the initial florality visible on the nose."
