About the Domaine:
Moreau Naudet has been a family business since the 17th century. In 1929, Alfred Naudet, a member of the I.N.A.O., was at the origin of the Chablisien delimitations. In 1950, Marie Naudet married René Moreau, who then became Moreau Naudet. In 1968, Roger Moreau arrived on the estate and took it over in 1972. In 1991, Stéphane Moreau joined the estate, which has 7 hectares of vines and produces 5,000 bottles per year. Stéphane died in 2016 and his wife Virginie took over the estate with the help of the assistant winemaker.

Full organic farming with biodynamic principles, natural yeast ferments, woman-winemaker, harvested 100% by hand–an anomaly in the mainly conventionally-farmed area. Unmistakably Chablis.

About this Wine:
The vineyards are spread across two villages - Préhy and Courgis. One is predominantly limestone and the other is predominantly clay. Vines on average between 20 - 60 year old. 14 - 20 months aging on fine lees. There is no oak for the AOC Chablis, it is entirely stainless steel.

Tasting Notes:
Crushed rocks and oyster shells, hints of cream and toasty brioche, bright citrus. Salty, like licking a shell on the beach. Lemon oil, jasmine, peony and flint. A slightly richer, rounder style of Chablis that is delicious now but can also be cellared for several more years.

Ratings & Reviews

88-90 Points - Wine Advocate:
"Derived from three different locations, Moreau-Naudet’s 2023 Chablis Village opens in the glass to reveal aromas of grapefruit zest, acacia and flint. On the palate, it’s medium-bodied, tangy and textural, concluding with a precise, delicately sapid finish. Similarly to the Petit Chablis, it’s vinified entirely in tank.” Kristaps Karklins (Mar 2025)
