The lieu-dit Les Beaux Monts lies northwest of the village of Vosne-Romanée, on the slope, at the mouth of the Combe Brûlée valley, where the slope is steep (10%). The plot ranges in altitude from 277 to 289 meters. The lieu-dit faces east-southeast.
The reddish-brown soil contains many light-colored limestone fragments, with chert nodules (chailles).
The substratum underlying Les Beaux Monts is Premeaux limestone.

"The 2024 Vosne-Romanée Les Beaux Monts 1er Cru has a light but pretty nose, rose hip and rose petal infusing the red fruit, although it does not possess the horsepower of the Grand Crus from Dujac due to the growing season. The palate is medium-bodied with filigree tannins. Lovely balance and very nuanced, a Vosne-Romanée following the maxim of "less is more". It does hurry out of the exit door, that is to say there is not so much sustain here. This will be difficult to resist in its youth; however, alternating between this and the Aux Malconsorts, it just feels a bit fragile by comparison." - Neal Martin (Jan 2026)
