About the Winery:
Domaine du Cheval Blanc is a family estate in Saint-Germain-de-Grave, in the Entre-deux-Mers / Cadillac Côtes de Bordeaux area of the Gironde. The property has been in the Chaussié family since the 18th century, with ten generations of growers succeeding one another at its head; owner Denis Chaussié joined the "Bienvenue à la Ferme" farm-network in 2004 and became its president in 2013, and has followed an AREA (Agriculture Respectueuse de l'Environnement en Aquitaine) environmental approach since 2016.
About This Wine:
The Cuvée Grandes Vignes Rouge is Domaine du Cheval Blanc's estate-grown Bordeaux AOC red, a classic Right Bank-leaning blend built around Merlot and complemented by Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc. It's an easy-drinking, everyday claret style with soft tannins and bright red and dark fruit.
