About the Wine:
This wine is recognizable by its golden, brilliant and clear colour. The pleasure starts with the very fine nose which evokes white flowers and exotic fruit, honey and vanilla. It carries on in the mouth where one discovers a full, generous wine whose roundness, suppleness and freshness express the very notion of harmony. It concludes on a mineral note which sharpens its complexity.

Tasting Note:
Pale yellow color. A bouquet of great finesse with subtle apricot and white peach scents.
The wine reveals its complexity on the palate: expressive, fleshy, delicate, fine and tannic. The finish lingers on nicely. This is a rich, smooth wine.

Ratings & Reviews

89-91 Points - Vinous Media:
"The 2020 Nuits Saint-Georges Clos de l'Arlot Blanc 1er Cru is well defined on the nose, although it does not quite possess the mineralité that I found on the ‘19 last year. The palate is well balanced with good weight, quite pithy and lightly spiced, touches of lime and Conference pear towards the finish. Give this a couple of years in bottle." - Neal Martin (Dec 2021)

88-91 Points - Allen Meadows' Burghound:
"Here too there is a subtle application of wood framing the vaguely exotic aromas of lemon, apple and straw. The delicious and plump, even caressing, flavors retain very good punch on the mineral-driven, intense and citrusy finish that is exceptionally dry, indeed to the point that this is currently mildly austere. " (June 2022)

90 Points - Wine Advocate:
"Exhibiting notes of pear, green apple, toasted hazelnuts, fresh pastry and white flowers, the 2020 Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er Cru Clos de l'Arlot Blanc is medium to full-bodied, layered and fleshy, with a rich but vibrant profile. It was bottled under Diam 10. Géraldine Godot told me that all Domaine de l'Arlot's wines in the 2020 vintage came in above 14% alcohol and that she retained appreciable percentages of stems in this vintage. Harvest began on August 25. Tasted from preprepared samples, these were rich, powerful wines that are more muscular in style than the domaine's 2019s." - William Kelley (Jan 2022)
