About the Whiskey:

A Crown Royal first, our exceptional single malt is expertly crafted in the
crisp Canadian cold at our Valleyfield distillery. Layers of delicate flavor are extracted as the aging process slows due to the northern chill, resulting in a deliciously smooth whisky with hints of creamy vanilla and a smooth cinnamon spice finish. A cold process, a warm finish, and the uncompromising standards of Crown Royal.

90 Proof

91 Points - Whisky Advocate

"The nose is delicately sweet and malty, along with a backbone of soft fruitiness, balancing Frosted Flakes and powdered sugar with green apple and strawberry-banana smoothie. Those malt and fruit-forward qualities carry forth on the palate, which is lightweight but flavorful with cinnamon applesauce, shortbread cookie, and chocolate chip-banana bread at the fore. Smooth sailing on the finish; all in all this is a perfectly pleasant sugary sipper that should appeal to most."

"The nose is toasty and moderately charred (think toasted marshmallow), opening quickly to reveal elements of sesame, peanut butter, and caramel. It’s slightly fruity with a note of dried banana chips, touched up with vanilla. On the palate, the whisky is more austere than the nose would suggest, featuring a stronger punch of barrel char, tobacco leaf, and subdued spice box notes. There’s a not insignificant smokiness here which provides the biggest surprise, leading to a slightly green, herbal quality that builds alongside the finish. Here at last the whisky sweetens back up, with vanilla cream and a light fruitiness — ripe banana, and some peach — making a strong showing."

"A delicate aroma is built on a foundation of light caramel, green apple, toasted oak. It’s surprisingly light overall, yet has a slight warmth and sweetness to it. The palate brings a good deal of sweetness, which is delivered with a very light but also mildly creamy consistency. Honey and vanilla cream give way to honey-roasted nuts and cinnamon. A welcomed amount of spice is brought in during the finish, which livens up this whiskey. A thin layer of barrel char, light brown sugar, toffee, and buttercream finally help bring some complexity to the whiskey’s sip. Extremely approachable thanks to its overall sweet flavor profile and proof." - Breaking Bourbon
