Where 1792 Begins:
Barton 1792 Distillery was established in 1879 and continues today as the oldest fully-operating Distillery in Bardstown, Kentucky. Situated in heart of bourbon country on 196 acres, the Distillery boasts 29 barrel aging warehouses, 22 other buildings including an impressive still house, and the legendary Tom Moore Spring.

About this Whiskey:
In order to create this unique bourbon, the finest barrels are selected and tasted from the best aging warehouses. Only those barrels deemed "exceptional" are then bottled individually, one by one. This preserves the distinct character of each barrel.

Tasting Notes:
This superior bourbon has flavors of rich butterscotch and caramel notes, delicately balanced with hints of fruit and toffee.

Awards/Reviews

Platinum - Ascot Awards 2024

"Floral and nice with a palate of poundcake, ginger, and orange. A curious strawberry pop tart vibe harkens me back to childhood indulgences. But I will take the whiskey."

Double Gold - SF World Spirits Competition 2024

Gold - Intl Spirits Challenge 2024, 2023, 2022

93 Points - Intl Wine & Spirits Competition 2024

"Lush stone fruit and peach notes mingle with zesty grapefruit on the finish, offering a bright and vibrant experience. Bubble gum, cantaloupe, and honeydew create a sweet, floral palate with a hint of orange."

Gold - Whiskies of the World 2021

93 Points, Great Value - Ultimate Spirits Challenge 2021

"Nuanced aromas of butterscotch, toffee, and caramel popcorn leap from the glass of this single-barrel Bourbon. On the palate, Sichuan pepper, figs, and oven-baked walnuts overlay the sweet buttercream backbone. The finish lingers with notes of sun-drenched dates."

90 Points, Best Buy - Wine Enthusiast

"This Bourbon is packaged in a hefty bottle that looks like the ones seen on the Cognac shelf; the whiskey inside has a brandy-like flavor profile too. The aroma suggests Sherry and dried fruit, while the palate shows bold caramel and maple laced with mocha, clove and cayenne. At nearly 100 proof, it needs a bit of dilution to soften the alcohol edge; that also brings forward the Sherried fruit promised by the aroma."
