About the Winery:
Our founder Dan Kosta and winemaker Shane Finley have collaborated on wines of distinction for over fifteen years. On their quest of crafting exceptional Pinot Noir and Chardonnay blends from California’s premier winegrowing regions, Convene is the ultimate expression.
From the Sonoma Coast to Russian River Valley, these wines comprise the best vineyards within each appellation. The result is a diverse, yet quintessential portfolio of wines, curated by some of the wine industry’s most discerning palates.
About this Wine:
Inspired by Dan’s palate for Old World white wines, this Chardonnay from Russian River Valley harmonizes five single-vineyard quality sites into a single blend. This dynamic wine opens with aromas of pear, hazelnut, and soft white florals. On the palate, flavors of green apple and custard mingle with notes of brioche, caramel, and honeycomb through an exuberant and prolonged finish. Old World style, with Russian River Valley flavor.

Ratings & Reviews
93 Points - James Suckling:
"A smooth, creamy white that shows all the lushness and ripe fruit character of this appellation in Sonoma County. Aromas of lemon zest, vanilla beans and baked apples lead to juicy pear, almond and lime notes on the palate. Barrel-fermented in one-third new oak barrels. Drink now. (Jul 2025)
92 Points - Jeb Dunnuck:
"A bright yellow/straw color, the 2022 Chardonnay Russian River Valley is ripe with fruity aromas of pineapple, river rock, preserved lemon, baking spice, ripe peach, and poached apples. The palate is supple, with a full-bodied feel and confectionary sweet fruit and vanilla notes on the finish. It’s a fruity and charming wine to drink over the next few years. – Audrey Frick (Jul 2025)
92 Points - Wine Spectator:
"Sleek and juicy, with vibrant Meyer lemon, pear and peach flavors. Details of lemon blossoms, lemon verbena and marzipan join a hint of salted caramel, while a touch of toasted, buttered brioche lingers on the finish. Drink now. 1,936 cases made." – MaryAnn Worobiec (Mar 2025)
92 Points - Wine Enthusiast:
"Bright Anjou pear and spiced apple aromas burst from the nose of this wine, before evolving on the palate to flavors of fresh pineapple, sage and lemon pith. Beautifully integrated oak supports the generous fruit character and lends nuances of vanilla and caramel." - Tom Capo (Nov 2024)
