About the Winery: 
Ciacci Piccolomini is one of the most sought-after producers in all of Italy. This ancient estate has 35 hectares of superior holdings in the prized Castelnuovo dell'Abate zone, including the 'Pianrosso' vineyard (meaning 'red field,' a reference to the iron rich soils).

About this Wine:
This multifaceted wine is suited to day to day drinking, easily matched with all foods, full bodied thanks to the blend of the grapes used. The Sangiovese Grosso into this IGT comes from the youngest plots close to the vineyards dedicated to the production of Rosso di Montalcino DOC and Brunello di Montalcino DOCG.

• 100% Estate
• 85% Sangiovese blended with 15% Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah
• A blend of declassified Rosso di Montalcino + declassified lots from Sant’Antimo wines “Ateo” & “Fabivs”
• Fermentation in stainless steel vats with temperature controlled through cooling jackets.
• Aged in concrete vats
• All farming is certified organic.
• SO2 is used in minimal quantities

"Based on Sangiovese with Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, and Merlot, the 2024 Ciacci Piccolomini D'Aragona Toscana Rosso pours a bright ruby color and is designed in a fresh style, meant to be enjoyed young. The aromatics are fruity and lifted, with ripe berries, blackberries, violets, and fresh earth. Medium-bodied, it has a plush texture, clean acidity, and an easy, balanced finish.
