The Champseix family has made wine at Château Vieux Chevrol for many generations and continues to do so in a traditional manner. They are one of the most consistent reliable producers in Lalande de Pomerol. The Chateau Vieux Chevrol vineyard lies on the Neac plateau overlooking the vineyards of Pomerol, a terroir long considered the most privileged of the appellation. 

Château Vieux Chevrol is a fresh, lively, medium bodied effort that is complex, nicely balanced, with a pretty, seamless texture. It has silky tannins and solid acidity. Classic Bordeaux flavors are evident - leather, earth, black and red fruits, spice, tobacco, and a touch of smoke. Perfectly paired with grilled meat, steak, and pork.
