Tasting Note:
A deep ruby color and a ripe nose dominated by red stone fruits. On the palate, the wine is pleasantly sweet, offering a lively texture and immediate appeal. The oak flavors are expertly integrated, allowing the wine's aromas to fully express themselves. Overall, this wine stands out from a radiant vintage, combining elegance and depth.
Climate Context:
As in 2019, the winter of 2020 was characterized by its astonishing mildness and very low rainfall in January and February. The heat of March and April favored very early ripening. The month of May was generally warmer than average except for a very rainy and cool period in the middle of the month which raised fears for a moment of a difficult year. Overall, with the mild winter and a generally very summery spring, the first condition for a great vintage, namely a rapid and uniform flowering, was practically fulfilled. In June the weather was rather cool and sometimes rainy, but with the arrival of July, summer settled in for good measure with heat and no rain until mid-August. The stormy precipitation in the second half of August brought beneficial hydrometry and September was without excessive heat or rain until the last week allowing for a harvest around the middle of the month with good ripeness.
