Notes from the Distiller:
A beautiful balance is achieved through the artful blending of 12 extra añejos and 9 añejos aged 1–5 years. This array of tequilas allows Master Tequilero Pepe Hermosillo to play with dozens of aromas and nuances to craft a flavor profile unlike any other.
Hand-crafted barrels for maturation are made from select trees in the famed Allier region of France, chosen personally by Master Tequilero Pepe Hermosillo. Forest-aged for two years to absorb a unique sense of place, the barrels are then transported to the renowned cooperage of Tronçais & Bertrange, where they are toasted and aged one additional year to create the ultimate vessel for liquid maturation.
Sustainability lies at the heart of everything we do. At Casa Noble, we’re committed to natural, sustainable practices to care for our land. From establishing agave fields on a high-altitude estate to making our own compost—we continue giving back to nature because of everything it’s given us. In order to create an outstanding tequila, we believe there must be a careful and caring balance between our process, the environment and the well-being of the people who make our tequila possible.
Tasting Notes:
Alluringly rich and silky, this tequila provides a superb balance of cooked agave sweetness, vanilla, and ripe fruits, with hints of peach and roasted nuts with spiced accents. The finish is smooth and offers a whisper of white chocolate, pecan, and almond.
Awards/Reviews
"Considering the age of the tequilas in this blend, there’s a surprisingly huge agave punch on the nose here, with a complex aromatic profile exuding notes of green pepper, lemongrass, stewed tomatoes, and, eventually, garam masala. There’s so much to delve in to, you could be forgiven for missing the quieter notes of caramel and chocolate, as well as the nuttier elements in the mix, though these become more prominent in time. There’s plenty more to discover on the palate, which is initially quite peppery with both black and green pepper elements and intense green agave notes, then notes of dried hemp. Give it time and sweetness builds: red berry jam, caramel-draped flan, and vanilla custard. Slightly lemony on the finish, with lingering, inexorable black pepper elements."
