Original Collection whiskies provide a showcase from a variety of distilleries from Scotland and beyond. Each distillery has its own distinct character and flavour: we select casks from our warehouses in Campbeltown to explore and present the best that each one has to offer.

Whiskies within this range are bottled at 46% – every whisky is deliberately and specifically chosen because we think it works best at this abv and we are confident you will agree! This also allows our Original Collection to have its own identity as it complements the cask strength Authentic range.

Aug 2020 - Port ; Oct 2022 - Refill Bourbon

After re-racking into port casks for around two years, we felt that this whisky was not yet ready for bottling. Our team decided that the spirit had been slightly overpowered by the casks. As a result, the casks were then transferred into refill bourbon for around a year which has created a deliciously rounded dram. Notes of raspberry ripple ice cream, juicy dates and peanut butter reveal themselves sip by sip.

Glenburgie-Glenlivet Information

Based in Alves, Moray, Glenburgie Distillery was founded in 1810 and most of the spirit produced is used for blends - this highlights the role that independent bottlers have in the whisky industry, we provide whisky lovers with an increased chance to enjoy single malts that are hard to find elsewhere.

Glenburgie spirit is grassy and has "outdoorsy" notes. It's sweet and has a slight oiliness too.

 

Tasting Notes

Nose: Raspberry ripple ice cream, lychee, chocolate coffee sweets

Flavour: Juicy dates, red cherries, hints of cedar wood, pine shavings

Finish: Dried raisins, walnuts, peanut butter
