Ratings & Reviews

91(+?) Points - Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar:
"(67% cabernet franc, 25% merlot and 8% petit verdot) Dark red. Aromas of cherry, rose petal, marzipan and brown spices. Rich and lush but less fruit-driven than the Camerata, showing more savory mocha and chocolate earth tones and a bit less lift. With more granular tannins, this comes across as less sweet and a bit less refined today." -Stephen Tanzer (Nov/Dec 10)

91 Points - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate:
"The 2008 Cara Mia Vineyard Bel Canto – with 25% Merlot and 8% Petit Verdot blended into its Cabernet Franc – features mint chocolate, cassis, and an alluring amalgam of Chenin-like quince and flowers on a silken palate, finishing with soothing persistence if not quite the complexity or mineral dimension of the couple of best Cadence releases I tasted. Still, this is very pure-fruited; lovely in its gentle way; yet possessed of subtly vibratory energy, and might well acquire additional complexity over the next half dozen or so years." -David Schildknecht (Dec 2012)

91 Points - Wine Enthusiast Magazine (2007 vintage):
"Immediately approachable, with beautiful fruit flavors right up front, though it has the depth to age also. Boasts blueberry, very pretty berry fruits, just a hint of barrel and the classic Cadence terroir-driven impression of chalk in the tannins that runs through all Cadence wines as a defining characteristic. Finishes with iron filings, more berry and just a smidge of balsamic." -Paul Gregutt (2/1/2011)
