Buccella (pronounced “boo-kehl-lah”) is the Latin term for “mouthful,” meant to signify the big, bold concentration of layers. The proprietary handmade wax label is an interpretation of a sommelier’s tastevin, designed to hold the perfect mouthful.
Since its founding in 2002, Buccella has remained unwaveringly committed to producing limited quantities of handmade, luxury wines produced from small vineyards in Napa Valley, primarily in Yountville, Oakville and Coombsville. The current winemaker is Landon Donley, a Master Sommelier, with tenure at Trinchero, and past roles at Spottswoode and Mollydooker. He’s a rising star in his own right and did everything right with this wine.
"Mica" stitches together fruit from Napa Valley, Carneros, Yountville, St Helena, and Coombsville in a way that embellishes the best qualities from each iconic AVA, without losing sight of balance. A generous and concentrated wine with black cherry and blackberry aromas with layers of dark chocolate, tobacco and licorice. The palate is fresh and vibrant with lush and smooth tannins and flavors of dark chocolate, fresh herbs and tobacco.

Aging: 17 months in 65% new French oak barrels
