About the Winery:
A secret collaboration between some of California’s most renowned winemakers, Bloodroot was founded with the goal of producing world class wines from some of CA's most revered vineyards at a fraction of what a wine like that usually costs. This group has deep contacts and vineyard sourcing which they knew they would create great wines for relatively modest prices. And therein lies the need for anonymity. The wines these folks make at their own wineries sell for 4 to 5 times as much money and routinely receive 95+ point scores. Collectively, this crew has made the wines at Hirsch, William Selyem, Flowers and Banshee. All that talent and exceptional raw material is crafted into wines that reflect the soul of place they come from and at a price that makes them a no brainer to drink.
This group is also masterful at creating blends. They're the chefs that could walk into your house tonight and make a Michelin-starred meal out of anything you have in your fridge and pantry.
Spearheaded by Noah and Kelly Dorrance of Reeve Wines, BloodRoot is a collaboration between venerated winemakers with great vineyard sourcing who have come together to make value-minded wines that overdeliver with their quality. The wines are sourced from multiple benchmark vineyards throughout Napa/Sonoma and reflect the soul of each place, made at a quality and price level that make them absolute no-brainers to drink.
BloodRoot is complimentary to Noah and Kelly’s winery called Reeve Wines, which started in 2015 as a side project from Banshee Wines which Noah was a founder of in 2009. When Reeve Wines began to flourish, Noah decided to turn his full attention to Reeve wines and eventually created BloodRoot as a complementary brand to Reeve.

Ratings & Reviews
90 Points - Vinous Media:
"The 2023 Pinot Noir Sonoma County is another delicious, affordable Pinot Noir from Noah Dorrance. Bold and punchy, with terrific structure, the 2023 has a lot going for it. Rose petal, blood orange and vibrant red-toned fruit race across the palate." - Antonio Galloni (Jan 2025)
90 Points - Jeb Dunnuck:
"A youthful, jeweled ruby color, the 2023 Pinot Noir Sonoma County is expressive and floral on opening, with pretty aromatics of wild raspberries, brambly, windswept herbs, fresh purple flowers, and dried earth. Medium-bodied, it’s elegant and pure, with a floating feel on the palate, fine tannins, and a graceful chalky spice on the finish. Drink now or over the next few years." - Audrey Frick (Jul 2025)
