About:

Gold Roast is the latest release from Bib & Tucker’s Classic Six lineup. It spends a minimum of six years in Number 1 char American white oak barrels and is distilled using a combination of column and copper pot stills. After sugar maple charcoal filtration and a minimum six years of aging, the bourbon is infused with lightly roasted coffee beans to impart warm roast notes while maintaining a smooth, balanced finish.

At the turn of the century, fresh-roasted coffee warmed early mornings, while smooth bourbon brought people together at day’s end. To complement our bourbon’s signature corn sweetness and rye spice notes, we partnered with a local Tennessee roaster on a custom blend of premium Arabica beans, which are steeped in our cask strength six-year whiskey before being expertly blended into the final batch. Complex, yet remarkably smooth with bold roasted notes, Gold Roast Bourbon is here to reenergize real connection.

Tasting Notes:

  • Appearance: Deep amber with golden highlights
  • Nose: Deep inviting aromas of freshly brewed coffee and rich molasses complemented by subtle notes of sweet corn and spice.
  • Palate: Pecan pie sweetness, caramel drizzle, dried apricot, a touch of rye spice and ginger, finished with roasted nut and coffee undertones
  • Finish: Long, layered, and chestnut-forward—with grilled corn, baking spices, and smoky oak lingering gently

Awards/Reviews:

"A good example of how you can pair the flavors of coffee and bourbon. There is a bit of natural sweetness that comes from the whiskey itself, as there are no sweeteners or additives used. An undercurrent of coffee ties together every sip, as you’d expect, but it actually tastes like coffee and not some artificial version of a caffeinated beverage. Behind that, the bourbon’s intrinsic grain, vanilla, chocolate, and caramel notes buttress the palate, making this a unique sipper that would work really well in an Old Fashioned for coffee lovers." - Robb Report
