"Imagine a chocolate covered cherry with dark roasted grains in a glass showcasing a lovely balance of sweet and spice. Delectable sipping whiskey."

Gold - World Whiskies Awards 2024

"Goose Island’s Bourbon County Stout’s chocolate notes shine bright throughout the sip. Opening with notes of various chocolate concoctions, the bourbon does a nice job of highlighting its barrel finish influence without being too over the top. The aroma transitions nicely into a similar palate that is full of chocolate mousse notes but also adds in more traditional rye grain, leather, and charred oak. The bourbon has a full meta moment, finishing on lingering notes of barrel-aged stout beer that make you think about all the various liquid components these finishing barrels held in order to produce the end result. Overall, this is a nicely produced stout finished bourbon that is easy to sip and that fans of Goose Island Bourbon County Stout or just stout cask finished bourbons in general will want to pick up." - Breaking Bourbon
