Arietta "On The White Keys" Sauvignon Blanc Semillon 2023

After several years of drought and heat in California, 2023 arrived like a cool breeze.  Ample winter rains and moderate temperatures through the entire summer made for a truly classic vintage.  Grapes reached full maturity with impressive levels of natural acidity and high-definition aromatics. 

The 2023 Arietta “On the White Keys” is already showing the depth and complexity we expect to see after a year or so in the bottle, along with a purity and brightness that make it irresistible.  Notes of lime zest, grapefruit, and candied green apple are just a few of the aromas that jump from the glass.  The wine is mouthwatering, expansive, and long, with a softness and polish on the palate.  The green apple and lime flavors are accentuated by an every so slight note of vanilla bean and confectioner’s sugar coming from the French oak barrels in which the wine was aged.  There is a harmonious energy—everything in proportion—and it is possible to see that the wine will continue to open and evolve with time in the bottle.
