Distillery Notes:

There’s a first for everything. Through a lower barrel entry proof and meticulous blending, the Angel’s Envy Cask Strength Bottled-in-Bond bourbon combines the historic Bottled-in-Bond distinction with the contemporary boldness of Cask Strength-bottled at 100 proof.

Established by the Bottled-in-Bond Act of 1897 and representing the pinnacle of American whiskey. The standard ensures a level of authenticity and unmatched quality, making it the global benchmark for whiskey distillation. Originally inspired by our founder Lincoln Henderson’s vision, Master Distiller Owen Martin has created a tribute to tradition with our inaugural Distillery Series release in a way that only Angel’s Envy can.

Aged for nearly six years, the toasted gold color hue and complex flavor profile can be enjoyed neat or on the rocks

Tasting Notes:

Nose: Lightly caramelized sugars, vanilla wafers with a hint of banana pudding.

Palate: Sweet and balanced. Honey latte. Light fruit syrup and toasted oak.

Finish: Rounded and soft. Gently fades, begging for a second sip.

Awards/Reviews:

"Aromas rise easily from the glass: toasted bread, cooked corn, peach pie, lemon chiffon and balanced oaky goodness. On the palate, you're reminded why 100 proof is such a sweet spot for bourbon lovers; it delivers a terrific balance of strength and subtlety. Here, stone fruit is first in line, followed closely by honey, caramel and fire-cured tobacco. The finish is long, warm and flavorful. It's a great whiskey all around, and which promises a long runway for Angel's Envy spirits that aren't cask finished." - Bourbon & Banter

"The nose is rich and complex with plenty of fruit up front, including baked apples, sweet cherries and dried apricots. There’s a background of syrupy brown sugar and caramel, but then quite a bit of contrast from spices such as anise, wintergreen, cinnamon and cloves, with a hint of cedar, to boot. The taste continues along similar lines, with sweet baked apples, brown sugar, caramel, a hint of cinnamon and mild dry oak, with anise and cloves, too. The spices continue into the finish, with increasing black pepper, a bit of char, and growing dryness. However, there is also a pleasant, subtle, cinnamon apple pie overtone, as well. Angel’s Envy Barrel Strength Bottled In Bond Bourbon packs quite a surprising variety of flavors. The low barrel entry proof would be expected to bring about ample complex flavors, and indeed, it does." - Bourbon Obsessed
