Notes from the Winemaker:

Terroir:

The vineyards producing this cuvée are located to the north of Orange. Small yields and also clay-limestone subsoil bring elegance and finesse to this wine and the Grenache brings its fruit aromas and roundness.

Tasting Notes:
The Grenache expresses all its qualities through this wine: exuberance of red fruit, roundness of tannins. The 2012 vintage, hot and sunny, brings this note of exuberance to this wine that makes it a perfect choice for enjoying moments with your friends or destress after a hard working day.

Food pairing: Red Meat - Charcuterie.

When to drink:
To fully appreciate the power and freshness of the fruit, we recommend you drink this wine when it’s relatively young.

Average age of the vines: 35 years
Yield: 45 hl / h
Type of harvest: Mostly manual

Ratings & Reviews

Wine Spectator (2011 Vintage):
"Cherry paste and Campari notes are backed by hints of anise and tobacco. Fleshy, with a fresh finish. Drink now. 900 cases imported." – JM (Nov 30, 2013)

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate (2011 Vintage):
"Not quite up to the 2010 but certainly in the same ballpark, the 2011 Domaine Andre Brunel Grenache Vin de Pays de Vaucluse has loads of charm with perfumed black raspberry, fennel, wild herbs and a touch of tobacco all showing on the nose. Upfront, perfumed, and sweetly fruited, with low acidity and a soft, medium-bodied texture, this excellent value will be a crowd pleaser over the coming couple of years." - Jeb Dunnuck (Dec 2013)
