About the Winery:
In the spring of 2005, Dr. Revana began searching for both the ideal region and an experienced winemaker to produce Pinot Noirs that could rival those from Burgundy. In the Dundee Hills AVA, the heart of the Willamette Valley, Dr. Revana’s search ended and the Revana Vineyard in Oregon began.

About the Wine:
The Alexana Estate Pinot Noir expresses the vineyard’s dramatically diverse terroir which includes twelve clones planted on eighteen distinct soil types. The elevation rises from 320 to 650 feet over rolling hills, steep slopes, and rugged terrain creating disparate microclimates across the eighty-acre site. Wine from each of the estate’s Pinot Noir blocks comprises this blend which shows aromas of pine duff, açaí, blueberry and spun sugar with black cherry fruit on the palate supported by firm tannins and a dusty finish.

Ratings & Reviews:

93 Points - International Wine Review:
"Boasting a translucent medium ruby core with a silvery rim in the glass, the 2021 Revana Pinot Noir from Alexana elicits aromas of crushed blueberries, sour cherries, pencil shavings, dried mountain herbs, black tea, and just a smooch of old leather. Tannins are silky smooth, acidity is mouthwatering, and it finishes with an enticing red fruit and herbaceous note on the back of the palate. Drink now or over the next 8 years." - J. Young (Mar 2023)

91 Points - Decanter Magazine:
"From the dry-farmed Revana site, with tremendous soil diversity in the Dundee Hills. There are pungent, haunting earthy aromas of mushroom, soy and dark fleshy red and black fruits. The palate is fairly fruit-forward and focused, with notes of black tea mingling with warm red and black fruits. There is a touch of perceptible heat on the finish." (May 2023)
