About the Domaine:
The Bergère family has tended vines on the slopes of the Vallée du Petit Morin since 1848 and in 1949, Albert Bergère founded Maison Bergère in an effort to better promote the family’s terroir. In 1986, Albert’s son, André took over the estate and further expanded their vineyard holdings.
Next generation Adrien Bergère joined his parents and sister on the estate in 2014 as winemaker after obtaining his diploma in oenology. He arrived with the desire to further enhance his family’s terroirs and showcase the richness of the Vallée du Petit Morin. To achieve this, he immediately began to vinify all the parcels separately to better understand the diversity of his terroir and isolate the best parcels, which gave birth to the parcel-based range and the two Coteaux Champenois, in addition to the traditional range already established by his family.

Ratings & Reviews
91 Points - Jeb Dunnuck:
"The NV Champagne Origine Brut is based around the 2020 vintage and is mostly Chardonnay with 20% Pinot Noir and 10% Meunier. The nose opens with a pretty and fruity profile, and it pours a medium yellow color, with aromas of fresh flowers, wet stones, white peach, and candied lemon. Medium-bodied and lively, it’s approachable and refreshing, with a clean, juicy feel, a spritely and refined mousse, and a clean finish. It’s a very appealing wine with a light saline finish to drink now or over the coming 5-7 years" - Audrey Frick (Dec 2024)
Vinous Media:
"The NV Brut Origine was harvested in Fèrebrianges, Etoges and Congy and is a blend of 70% Chardonnay, 20% Pinot Noir and 10% Pinot Meunier, based on 2021 partially fermented in small oak, with 30% reserve wines. Mirabelle ripeness, lemon freshness and gentle polenta creaminess combine into an inviting nose; there even is an overtone of woodruff. The palate is very light, juicy and gentle. A foamy mousse underlines this essential lightness and the Chardonnay dominance here. This is done in a very pure, bright and light apero style with a super clean and refreshing finish. Dosage is 4gr/L. Disgorged: July, 2023." - Anne Krebiehl MW (Nov 2023)
