About the Winery:
Famille Vincent Pouilly-Fuissé Cuvée Marie Antoinette is a tribute to Antoine Vincent’s grandmother mother, Marie Antoinette Vincent. The wine is sourced from several parcels including young vines from the Château Fuissé vineyards of Le Clos, Les Brûlés and Les Combettes as well as several non-domaine yet family owned parcels throughout the appellation.

About the Wine:
Cuvée Marie Antoinette is created with a fresh, youthful profile in mind. The grapes are vinified in stainless steel tank with only about 25% of the total blend seeing any time in oak. The resulting wine is pleasing, refreshing and crisp on the palate, with youthful layers of acidity, apple, peach and vanilla.

Summer temperatures are generally higher in the Macon than in northern Burgundy, affording the wines rich and ripe fruit character and soft acidity. The full maturity of the skins adds an extra dimension to the grapes, a ripe exotic character, with hints of brioche.

To preserve the fresh fruit characters, 70% of the wine is vinified in stainless steel tanks with the remainder sees about 6 months in oak barrels.

Winemaker Notes:
Pale yellow color with hints of green. You get on the nose a touch of oak, lots of finesse and minerality with white flowers, lemon and apple scents. On the mouth, the wine is fresh, round and fruity with aromas of melon, kiwi, peaches and apricot and a nice minerality. Overall, the wine is nicely balanced and fresh with a great length.

Ratings & Reviews:

91 Points & #69 Top 100 of 2024 - Wine Spectator:
"A rich version, bordering on creamy, this peach-, apple- and stone-inflected white is complex and long, with fine balance and a long aftertaste that resonates with fruit and mineral notes. Drink now. 2,362 cases imported." - Bruce Sanderson (Aug 2024)

87-90 Points - Allan Meadows' Burghound:
"A fresh nose combines notes of citrus, petrol and just sliced apple. The very rich and generously proportioned medium weight flavors that possess an appealing mouthfeel, all wrapped in a moderately dry finale that offers good if not special length on the acceptably complex finale." (Aug 2023)

Vinous Media:
"The 2022 Pouilly-Fuissé Marie-Antoinette comes from purchased grapes plus young vines owned by the Vincent family. It has a sense of fatness on the nose that is conspicuous after tasting the château's 2023s. The palate is medium-bodied with a creamy-textured opening. It offers impressive weight and is slightly honeyed towards the finish. While not quite as mineral-driven as past vintages, it is clean and delivers a subtle menthol finish. Fine. " - Neal Martin (Aug 2024)
