The Story:
La Ferme du Mont in the Southern Rhône boasts a mosaic of vineyards, now owned and vinified by Stéphane Vedeau. Formerly a soccer player in Paris, Stéphane has spent 15 years making award-winning wines in the Languedoc. Stéphane arrived in the Rhone Valley in 2000, creating La Ferme du Mont in the Southern Rhone where he continues to produce wines with freshness and soul using native yeasts and biodynamic methods.

Appellation: AOP Côtes du Rhône
Terroir: Limestone scree on a very cool and shaded slope.
Grape varieties:  Roussanne, Marsanne, Viognier, Grenache Blanc and Clairette. Vines are between 35 and 55 years old. The harvest is done in two passes with the explicit aim of preserving mineral freshness while allowing the fruit to reach full maturity.
Tasting Notes: Jade in color, blending into a golden blonde, the nose offers a floral and mineral bouquet. The breadth and opulence of its aromas prepare us for a complex palate. The palate is surprised by the range of sensations, from creaminess to elegant vibrancy. Multiple layers unfold: quince paste, yellow-fleshed fruit, spices, acacia honey, and a chalky minerality. The overall impression, in its power and balance, places it equidistant between the great white wines of the Rhône and those of southern Burgundy.
