About the Winery:
Founded in 1893, the Cantina Terlano winery is now one of the leading wine growers’ cooperatives in South Tyrol, with a current membership of 143 growers working a total area of 190 hectares. That is the equivalent of some 1.5 million bottles of wine a year. We and our members have long had a strong focus on quality. That has attracted praise and recognition on the Italian and international wine markets, and in spite of its relatively small size, Cantina Terlano is now well established in the world of wine.

Variety: 100% Pinot Bianco

Vintage: The 2024 wine-growing year began with an exceptionally wet spring – the wettest since 1965. The cool and humid weather conditions persisted until May and early June. The result was delayed flowering and, in the case of some grape varieties, coulure, i.e. clusters with reduced numbers of developing grapes. This translated into reductions in yield of between 15 and 40 percent, with the Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Blanc and Lagrein particularly affected.

Color: clear pale yellow with a slight greenish shimmer
Smell: On the nose this classic Pinot Bianco scores with crisp notes of apple and pear mingling with aromas of raspberry and lime, plus a touch of camomile and lemon grass to round off the composition
Taste: Body and balance sum up the Pinot Bianco, which intrigues the palate with the fruit of the pear and quince aromas combined with a salty minerality. The wine tickles the tongue and goes on to deliver a persistent aftertaste.
