Ratings & Reviews

97 Points - James Suckling:
"An impressive, gorgeous wine that piles on the ripe red and black fruit over sweet tannins that give a posh, expansive feel. An amazing standout that contrasts beautifully with the area’s malbecs and cabernet sauvignons. It’s juicy, broad and ripe, backed by moderate, super fine-grained tannins and linear acidity. Drinkable now, but best from 2028." - JS (Mar 2024)

94 Points - Vinous:
"The 2021 Cabernet Franc Chañares Estate is sourced from Los Árboles in the Uco Valley. Half of this garnet-hued wine was aged for 18 months in oak barrels, resulting in aromas of ash, cassis, blackcurrant and tobacco, complemented by a delicate layer of cedar with hints of truffle and mushroom on the nose. Slightly saline, the palate is long and somewhat tight, suggesting it will improve with time. Currently, the incredible nose outshines the mouthfeel, but it remains a complex and unique wine. (Drink between 2025-2045)." - Joaquin Hidalgo (Nov 2024)
