About The Winery:

Domaine  Porte Rouge  extends over 8 plots, for a total of 4 hectares of old vines in  AOP Châteauneuf-du-Pape

The diversity of the plots offers a blend of Grenache, Syrah, Mourvèdre & Cinsault on rolled pebbles, sandstone, limestone & sand.

This Châteauneuf-du-Pape is the result of careful work in certified organic farming since 2013. Aging in old barrels contributes to the production of a traditional wine combining elegance and character.

Ratings & Reviews

90 Points - Jeb Dunnuck:
"The medium ruby-hued 2021 Châteauneuf Du Pape Cuvée Tradition checks in as 80% Grenache, 12% Syrah, and the rest Mourvèdre and Cinsault. Ample kirsch, candied violets, lavender, and peppery garrigue jump from this medium-bodied, supple, more pleasure-bent 2021, which has good ripeness, the more focused, elegant style of the vintage, and a good finish.<!--more-->A domaine that was created in 2003 by Bernard Friedmann, Domaine Porte Rouge is now under the helm of Domaine du Pegau’s Feraud family, with Justine Feraud leading the team and winemaking starting in 2022. I suspect this will be an estate to watch." - JD (Oct 2023)
