About the Rum:
Blackwell Black Gold Rum was created by Chris Blackwell, who also happens to be the owner of Island Records. The dark rum itself is distilled and blended by J. Wray & Nephew in Jamaica. It was made in the style of a traditional recipe from the days when Blackwell's mother's family-owned J. Wray & Nephew and the Appleton estate.
TASTING NOTES
Bittersweet mocha and woody spice, with touches of oak char and caramel throughout alongside a burst of vibrant ripe tropical fruit, namely kiwi

Soft and Sweet entrance with vanilla & caramel flavors, followed by toasted marshmallow and a natural spice finish.
Tropical Ageing
Blackwell Rum is aged for two years to “mellow”, but it does not take on any overpowering woody notes.
