2016 Cenyth Sonoma Bordeaux-Style Red Blend

94 Points, Robert Parker's Wine Advocate:
"The 2016 Cenyth Red Wine Blend is blended of 50% Cabernet Franc, 33% Merlot and 17% Cabernet Sauvignon. Deep garnet-purple colored, it opens with expressive baking spices, fragrant earth and vibrant red and black currant scents with touches of underbrush, pencil shavings and tar with a waft of charcuterie. Medium to full-bodied, it has a firm frame of grainy tannins and wonderful freshness framing the densely packed red and black fruit layers, finishing long. 1,740 cases produced. Drink 2020-2037." - LPB (10/18)

About this Wine:
Sixth-generation French vigneron Pierre Seillan is the winemaker at Château Lassègue near Saint-Émilion in Bordeaux, as well as at Vérité in Sonoma County, where he works with his daughter Hélène Seillan, assistant winemaker.

These partners represent two generations in a long line of winemakers, a father and daughter team with distinct skills and visions, both of which benefit the wine they make: La Muse, La Joie and Le Désir. The outcomes have been successful: Vérité wines claim fifteen 100-Point Scores from Robert Parker Wine Advocate, plus the recent addition of 100-point score from Jeb Dunnuck.

Cenyth is the 2nd label of Verite and made by Hélène.

2018 Collazzi Toscana IGT Super-Tuscan

Cabernet Sauvignon 50%, Cabernet Franc 25%, Merlot 20%, Petit Verdot 5%. Villa Collazzi is one of the most impressive estates in all of Tuscany. This architectural landmark was originally designed by Michelangelo in 1560 for his friend, Agostino Dini. It offers commanding views of the surrounding countryside.

96 Points, Rank #69 Italy Top 100 of 2021 - James Suckling:
"Lots of blackcurrant and mint on the nose with plums, too. It’s full-bodied with very integrated tannins that are chewy but beautiful and give length to the wine. Racy and solid. Cabernet sauvignon, merlot, cabernet franc and petit verdot. Try after 2024. (Feb 3, 2023)

95 Points - Falstaff:
"Rich, deep dark ruby with violet shimmer. Very fleshy, appealing nose with prominent berries, blackberries and elderberries, dark chocolate in the background. Hearty, gripping tannin determines the approach and course, but also has fine fruity glaze, dark fruit, and fine chocolate notes again in the finish." (Feb 22)

2021 Brewer Clifton Santa Rita Hills Chardonnay

93 Points, Jeb Dunnuck:

"Ripe orchard fruits, butted lemon, crushed stone, and salty, marine-influence notes all emerge from the 2021 Chardonnay Sta. Rita Hills, a concentrated, medium to full-bodied Chardonnay with a liquid rock-like sense of minerality, beautiful mid-palate density, and a great finish. You should never underestimate these appellation releases from Greg Brewer. This is an insane value in top Chardonnay from California." (8/2023)

93 Points - Wine Spectator:
"There’s terrific focus and intensity to the bright citrus flavors at the core of this white, with yuzu, ruby grapefruit, Meyer lemon and lime zest notes, plus plenty of salty, minerally accents that add a mouthwatering minerality, followed by hints of lemon basil that linger on the finish." *Highly Recommended* -MW (7/2023)
