In place of the Marine Layer Durell: eight California Chardonnays we highly recommend, from Ramey’s Wine Spectator #10 wine of 2024 to Hyde de Villaine and Paul Hobbs.
Hi James — your order includes 7 bottles of the Marine Layer “Durell Vineyard” Chardonnay 2023, but we have only 1 bottle left. We tried to get more of the 2023 from the winery, but they are sold out, and they won’t release the 2024 until next year. I sincerely apologize.
Here are your two options:
Choose any of the Chardonnays below for the 6 bottles we can’t fill. One wine or a mix, whatever you like.
Reduce the Marine Layer to the 1 bottle we have, shipping with the rest of your order in November.
The Durell is made from old Wente Chardonnay vines, and four of these wines share that heritage; they’re marked below. I’m also happy to recommend more Barolo and Barbaresco to go with your Gaja and Paitin.
