2012 Palmer & Co. Vintage Brut Champagne

98 Points, Decanter:

"Nougat, pine nuts, almond and verbena on the nose; grip and a phenolic subtext, slate and stone fruit; rigor and potential tease us with a beguiling persuasion. A complete wine with exceptional length.” (7/7/21)

18 / 20 Points - Jancis Robinson:
"A champagne that triumphed in the 2021 Decanter World Wine Awards. 100% from grand and premier cru vineyards. 50% Chardonnay, 45% Pinot Noir, 5% Meunier aged on lees for five years. Disgorged 9 May 2018. Dosage 7 g/l. Tasted blind. Light coppery gold colour. Very persistent bead. Smells sweet, almost candified. But this is very nicely balanced by citrus acidity. Reminds me of Dom Pérignon! Lightly reductive and rather beautifully balanced." (7/7/21)

The Cult Chilean Syrah that Beat Opus One & First Growths
2012 Montes "Folly" Syrah, Apalta, Colchagua Valley, Chile

97 Points - James Suckling:
"Incredible wine with blackberry, dried meat, granite, spice, and blueberry character. Full body, super velvety texture, yet incredibly fine and long. Such finesse and balance. Clearly the benchmark for syrah in South America. So gorgeous to drink now but will age beautifully." (May 12th, 2016)

Cult White Burgundy Legend

2018 Domaine Leflaive Rully Premier Cru

Outstanding - Allen Meadows' BurgHound:
"This too is notably cool with more citrus influence on the restrained green apple aromas. There is slightly more volume if not quite the same refinement to the delicious middle weight flavors that flash a touch of minerality on the equally youthfully austere finale. This is quite good and worth checking out." (June 2020)

90 Points - Vinous:
"The 2018 Rully 1er Cru needs quite a bit of air to find its focus, which is rather surprising for a wine at this level, and something I imagine most readers would not expect. Initially rather clunky, the 2018 opens to reveal layers of citrus, chalk and floral notes, all buttressed by bright acids. The 2018 finds its stride only after having been opened for a few hours." - Antonio Galloni (Oct 2020)
