Here is what most people never realize: almost nothing is made. The Wild Mountainside Syrah is 810 cases — for the entire world. The new MacIntyre Pinot is 975. The 98–100 point Estate Pinot is 1,200. These are rounding errors by Napa standards, and it is exactly why the wines vanish onto restaurant lists and mailing lists before the public ever sees them.

Twenty-year-old estate vines at the height of their powers, in the vintage critics are calling a modern legend. DuMOL themselves call it "one of the finest wines we've ever produced" — and the critics agree, six of them scoring it 96 or better. 1,200 cases made.
