Ratings & Reviews

95 Points - Antonio Galloni:
"In 2011, the Barolo Le Serra benefits from its slightly higher elevation and cooler micro-climate, both of which give the wine an added element of freshness that is needed. Dark red stone fruits, flowers, spices and leather are all supported by the characteristic firm La Serra tannins, but the 2011 has a little more mid-palate depth and overall volume that serves to balance some of the angular contours that can be present. A gorgeous and complete wine, the La Serra is also an overachiever in 2011." - Antonio Galloni (November 2014)

94 Points - James Suckling:
"A juicy and savory red with berry, tile and dried flower character. Full with velvety tannins and a fresh finish. Very pretty. Better in 2017." - (April 13, 2015)

92 Points - Wine Spectator Magazine:

"Gorgeous aromas of rose, fresh porcini, cherry and spice mark this elegant Barolo. Ready to enjoy, though there is enough structure to age another 10 years. Fine length. Best from 2017 through 2030. 400 cases made." - BS (Feb 29, 2016)

91 Points - Wine Enthusiast Magazine:
"Aromas of oak, toast, espresso, peppermint and a whiff of blue flower lead the nose. The firm palate offers dark cherry, cake spice, grilled herb and anise alongside tightly wound, assertive tannins and bright acidity." - Kerin O'Keefe (7/1/2016)
