Notes from the Winemaker:
The style of Tua Rita's wines, made with different degrees of complexity and according to the intimate characteristics of each individual variety and each specific vineyard parcel, express a common element: the ability of each label to convey the character and personality of their terroir. Rosso dei Nostri is a blend obtained from the youngest vineyards, and is the wine that has always introduced the articulated and fascinating world of Tua Rita's reds.

This youthful offering from Tua Rita is 40% Cabernet Sauvignon and 40% blend of Merlot, 10% Syrah and 10% Cabernet Franc, harvested in September from vineyards in the foothills of Suvereto, a small hilltop village in Tuscany. After a gentle pressing, the wine is aged for three months in French oak barriques and stainless steel tanks.

Tasting Notes:
Deep ruby red in color, with aromas of black fruits, namely blackberries, plums and ripe black cherries over more subtle notes of cocoa, licorice and sweet spice. On the palate, the wine is smooth, with silky tannins and bracing acidity, showing structural balance long into the finish.

Ratings & Reviews

93 Points - James Suckling:
"A pretty red with blackberries, blueberries and sage, as well as dried flowers. Medium body with light, fine tannins and a fresh finish. One of the best I have had. Drink now or hold." (Sep 2022)

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate:
"This is an entry-level blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Merlot and Sangiovese (although this last grape has been considerably reduced). The Tua Rita 2021 Rosso dei Notri shows nice freshness, dark cherry and light spice. So-called "legno tecnico" (or staves) are used. Instead of putting the wine in oak, oak staves are put into the wine to round out its easygoing flavor profile. Some neutral barrique is used, and in challenging vintages, declassified wine ends up in the Rosso dei Notri." - Monica Larner (May 2023)
