About this Winery:
Tenute Silvio Nardi consists of 80 hectares of vineyards in an unspoiled part of central Tuscany: Montalcino, whose symbol is its great red wine, Brunello. Silvio Nardi founded the estate here at Casale del Bosco; since 1985 it has been run by his youngest daughter, Emilia. Emilia grew up visiting the Montalcino estate and worked alongside her father for 10 years.

The estate's vineyards are situated between 140 and 420 meters above sea level: some extend north-west of Montalcino on the hills around Casale del Bosco, while others are located to the north of it at Tenuta di Bibbiano and to the south-east at Manachiara, where the precious cru of the same name originates.

Tasting Notes:
Silvio Nardi Rosso di Montalcino shows ripe, wild cherry fruit aromas and flavors with leather and spice. Medium-bodied and fruit-forward with a velvety texture and ripe tannins.

Ratings & Reviews

90 Points - James Suckling:
"Shows red peppers, red currants and some dried rose petals. Light to medium body, fine tannins and a fresh finish. Drink now.” (Apr 2019)

89 Points - Vinous Media:
"The 2017 Rosso di Montalcino is sleek, perfumed and very pretty. Super-ripe red cherry, kirsch, dried flowers, mint, licorice and tobacco are all beautifully delineated in this super-attractive, mid-weight Rosso from Nardi. Drink it over the next few years.” – Antonio Galloni (Oct 2019)
