About this Winery:
Tenute Silvio Nardi consists of 80 hectares of vineyards in an unspoiled part of central Tuscany: Montalcino, whose symbol is its great red wine, Brunello. Silvio Nardi founded the estate here at Casale del Bosco; since 1985 it has been run by his youngest daughter, Emilia. Emilia grew up visiting the Montalcino estate and worked alongside her father for 10 years.
The estate's vineyards are situated between 140 and 420 meters above sea level: some extend north-west of Montalcino on the hills around Casale del Bosco, while others are located to the north of it at Tenuta di Bibbiano and to the south-east at Manachiara, where the precious cru of the same name originates.
Tasting Notes:
Silvio Nardi Rosso di Montalcino shows ripe, wild cherry fruit aromas and flavors with leather and spice. Medium-bodied and fruit-forward with a velvety texture and ripe tannins.
"A flavorful wine with chocolate, walnut and berry character. Medium body, plenty of fruit and a delicious finish. Drink now."
90 Points - Vinous Media:
"The 2015 Rosso di Montalcino is an attractive wine to drink now and over the next few years, while the flavors remain vibrant. Sweet pipe tobacco, crushed flowers, worn-in leather and dried cherries are all nicely laced together in this mid-weight, inviting Rosso. This is very nicely done."

"Black pepper, plum, leather and earth aromas and flavors mark this vibrant red. Built to age over the short term, with a long, loamy finish."
