About the Wine:
Blanc Sec de Suduiraut reflects the professionalism of Pierre Montégut’s team and the precision they employ in plot-by-plot selection and in the vinification of this complex and subtle dry white.

The two grape varieties that are used to produce it, Semillon and Sauvignon blanc, are planted on the sandy gravel deposits of a Sauternes Premier Cru Classé terroir. They are picked from 20 years old plots, vinified with precision then matured on fine lees.
Our gourmand and fresh Blanc Sec de Suduiraut offers an immediate pleasure. Its bright aromatic expression makes it an ideal wine to be savoured in its youth, earlier than S de Suduiraut Vieilles Vignes.

Ratings & Reviews

90 Points - James Suckling:
"Clean and fresh with pear and sliced-apple character. Medium-bodied, clean and minerally. Delicious." (Apr 4, 2017)

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate:
"The 2016 Le Blanc Sec from Suduiraut is a blend of 51% Semillon and 49% Sauvignon Blanc matured in 10% new oak. It has a simple, light lime flower and grapefruit scented bouquet. The palate is fresh and a little reserved on the entry with a taut citrus and green apple finish. Drink over the next two or three years." - Neal Martin (Apr 28, 2017)

Vinous Media:
"Suduiraut's 2016 Le Blanc Sec is a pleasant, entry-level Sémillon-based dry white. Citrus, lemon peel and lightly tropical notes give the wine much of its distinctive personality." (Apr 2017)
