There are 15 acres of Pinot spread across 8 clones. Aged in 60 gal mostly French oak barrels for approximately 11 months, then bottled with minimal filtration and stabilization. The label contains Mike’s thumbprint on the left, Cheri's on the right and the kids’ prints are on the back. 519 cases produced.

Ratings & Reviews

92 Points - Wine Enthusiast:
"This bottling starts with juicy aromas of red fruit, but then grows more complex, with darker cherry, tarragon, fennel and danky earth elements. The palate also starts bright with rose petals and blistered boysenberry flavors before returning to an earthy, gamy, shiitake mushroom-laced core." - Matt Kettmann (12/1/2019)

91 Points - Vinous:
"Deep red. Energetic spice- and mineral-tinged aromas of red berries and cherry, along with a hint of star anise in the background. Juicy raspberry, cherry pie and rose pastille flavors show very good clarity and develop a hint of smokiness. Turns sweeter with air, showing a hint of smoky minerality that carries through the long, subtly tannic finish." - Josh Raynolds (Jan 2019)

Jeb Dunnuck:
"The medium ruby-colored 2016 Pinot Noir Estate comes all from the Bassi Vineyard (this site is just off the Pacific Ocean, near the town of Avila Beach) and spent 11 months in barrel. With medium body, good acidity, and attractive notes of ripe red fruits, leafy herbs, pepper, and earth, it’s another classic, well-made effort from Mike Sinor." - Jeb Dunnuck (11/29/2018)
