About This Wine:

After the harvest, the grapes are soft-crushed and the must-wine is transferred to stainless steel vats at 8°C/47°F and allowed to settle. The Chardonnay is then transferred to new French oak barrels, where malolactic fermentation occurs. The Traminer and Riesling continue their fermentation in temperature controlled steel vats. After twelve months, the wines are blended and bottled.

What Does It Taste Like?

An elegant wine that truly demonstrates the excellence of Friulian whites, the delicate varieties mesh beautifully. Mil Rosis’ roundness and structure can be largely attributed to the French oak brought by the chardonnay. The wine gracefully presents consummate softness, freshness, and delicacy

Ratings & Reviews

91 Points - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate:
"The 2007 Mil Rosis is a fatter, richer wine than the 2008 tasted alongside it. Here the mineral notes are more in the background, while the opulent fruit takes center stage. Scents of juicy mango, tropical fruit, super-ripe apricots and truffles wrap around the palate all the way through to the textured, creamy finish. Mil Rosis is Chardonnay, Riesling and Traminer. Anticipated maturity: 2011-2017." - Antonio Galloni (Feb 2011)

91 Points - Wine Spectator Magazine:
"Aromas of ripe fruit, with apple pie, milk, cream and caramel. Full-bodied, with an oily palate and ultraripe fruit. Very complex, with wonderful fruit and bright acidity. Drink now. 810 cases made." - JS (Dec 2009)
