Ratings & Reviews

96 Points - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate:
“[Rolland’s] 2014 is a prodigious effort and maybe the best he’s made to date..This beauty (14.9% alcohol) has an opaque purple color and a beautiful, sweet nose of blueberry liqueur intermixed with some blackberries, crème de cassis, licorice and graphite. It is full-bodied, has a velvety texture and fine tannins, a terrific length of close to 50 seconds, and a large-scaled, voluptuous mouthfeel that just goes on and on. Purity, richness and overall equilibrium are top-flight. Drink it now or drink it in 20-30 years, as it is that well-balanced and potentially long-lived.”

95+ Points - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate (2013 vintage):

"Michel Rolland's enormous experience and obvious knowledge of great viticulture and winemaking has turned out a 300-case cuvée (14.7% natural alcohol) of exceptional wine. Notes of graphite, créme de cassis, blackberry, and a touch of coffee and white chocolate are present in this wine, which offers elegance, full body, beautiful purity, and sweet, well-integrated tannins. As the wine sits in the glass, some blueberry liqueur notes also develop. This plush, full-bodied wine should hit its prime in 4-5 years and last for 20 or more. No telephone number available." - Robert M. Parker, Jr. (Oct 2015)

92 Points - Wine Spectator (2013 vintage):
"This captures ripe, rich, firm blackberry, graphite and mineral notes, with a wall of extracted tannins on the finish. Cabernet Sauvignon. Best from 2018 through 2028. 225 cases made." - JL (Nov 2015)
