About This Wine:
Our traditional blend Cavendish is a rich golden color with exceptionally fine bubbles. The nose is expressive with hints of red fruits. The Pinot dominance brings depth and complexity to the palate with a long-lasting finish, whilst the Chardonnay adds finesse and freshness.

Ratings & Reviews

92 Points - Wine Enthusiast Magazine:
"An alluring whiff of fern accompanies notions of ripe, red apple on the nose, while a touch of white pepper adds spice. The palate shows a very fine mousse that brings crisp red-apple freshness to the fore. This wine still seems young and taut, brimming with freshness in front of a rather reticent backdrop. Give this wine some bottle age and its apple splendor will develop. The finish is clean and lip-smacking." - Anne Krebiehl MW (12/1/2017)

91 Points - Jeb Dunnuck:
"A shockingly good sparkler from England, the 2014 Cavendish Brut from Ridgeview competes with numerous Champagnes with its flinty minerality and beautiful stone fruits and toasty notes. It's vibrant on the palate, has a focused, chiseled texture balanced by good richness, and outstanding length. It's pure class all the way and should keep for another 7-8 years, if not longer." - Jeb Dunnuck (3/27/2019)

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate:
"The 2014 Cavendish is an equal blend of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier. It has a well defined bouquet, terse at first but soon opening up with limestone and green apple scents. The palate is fresh and saline on the entry with well judged acidity, plenty of green apple and pear with satisfying persistence on the finish. Perhaps not quite as engaging as the NV Bloomsbury, nevertheless this is a fine English sparkler." - Neal Martin (30th Jun 2017)
